VERMIZOL A-50 contains albendazole as active substance, a broad-spectrum antihelminthic drug, active against gastrointestinal nematodes, cestodes and trematodes in all stages of evolution (eggs, larvae, adults) in dogs and cats: Toxocara canis, Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp., Trichocephalus vulpis.
In cats, albendazole is used especially in Paragonimus kellicotti infestations. The product has a low toxicity and is tolerated at a dose 5 times higher than usual therapeutic doses.More info
VERMIZOL A 50 is a broad-spectrum antihelminthic drug used in the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes (eggs, larvae and adults of Toxocara canis, Toxocaris leonina, Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp., Trichocephalus spp.), cestodes (Dipylidium caninum) and trematodes (Paragonimus kellicotti) in dogs and cats.
VERMIZOL A 50 is administered orally, in the following doses, depending on the type of parasite:
- 10 mg albendazol / kg b.w. /day, (1 tablet/5 kg b.w./day) in infestation with gastrointestinal nematodes (Toxocara canis, Toxocaris leonina, Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp.), cestodosis (Dipylidium caninum) and trematodosis (Paragonimus kellicotti), for 1-3 days consecutively;
- 25 mg albendazol / kg b.w. /day, (1 tablet/2 kg b.w./day) in infestation with Tricocephalus spp., for 2 days consecutively.
If animals do not improve wealth the veterinary must be consulted for reassessment of diagnostics. It is recommended that during the treatment dogs and cats are kept in a space where the fecal matters may be collected to be biologically and chemically analyzed.
Do not administer to females in the first month of pregnancy. Reduced toxic product, 5 times higher doses than usual being tolerated. In case of overdose depression and anorexia may rarely appear.
Temperature lower than 25°C, away from direct light and freezing.
