The active immunization of domestic pigs against the classic swine fever starting from the age of 55-60 days old.
The immunity installs after 21 days from the inoculation and lasts for 21 months.
The vaccine is inoculated intramuscular. The vaccine dose is 1 ml of the vaccine suspension obtained by the dissolution of the content of one phial in an equal quantity of solvent (ml) to the number of vaccine doses, marked on the label.
In the farms and units:
-the pigs of 55-60 days old, with rappel at the age of 120 days;
-the boars and reproduction pigs, 2 times a year, on the quarters I and
In the households of the population:
-general inoculations 2 times a year, in the quarters I and III, at all the swine of over 60 days, with monthly completions.
The new-born pigs, resulted from the inoculated pigs are 100% protected by the maternal antibodies up to the age of 30 days; 60-80% at the age of 40 days, although the maternal antibodies may be detected until the age of 110 days. If the first inoculation of the young swine at the age of 60 days was not made (according to the inoculation diagram applied in the farms and units) it may be made one inoculation of 70 or 80 days age, obtaining a very good immune answer during the whole economic life.
The vaccine is not administered for the animals of the groups where the infectious-contagious, parasitic diseases or nutritional and metabolic diseases evolve. The vaccine does not produce local or general reactions, independently of the age it is applied to.
It will be used a sterile instrumentation, and the inoculation place will be disinfected. The avoidance of any stress (weaning, transport, batching) one week before and after the inoculation.
There will be taken caution measures for the prevention of mechanical abortions during the inoculation, avoiding the inoculation of pigs on the last pregnancy month.
There are no use restrictions at the pregnant pigs, except for the administration on the last pregnancy month.
The vaccine may be taken concomitantly with the anti-rubella vaccine. After the administration of an overdose (10 vaccine doses) no local or general reactions were noticed at the inoculated animals. Not to mix with any other medicine product, except for the recommended solvent.
The product is maintained at the temperature of 2-8°C, protected against light. The vaccine is not refrigerated.
The glass phials with 5, 10 and 20 doses, closed with a rubber stopper and sealed by aluminum fuse caps.
