1 powder gram contains:
Chlorhidrate oxytetracycline …………………… 900 mg
Excipients: Mono-hydrate citric acid, Mono-hydrate lactose.
Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic of the tetracicline group produced by Streptomyces rimosus that bacteriostatically acts against the Gram-positive bacteria (Actinomyces spp., Baccilus anthracis, Clostridium perfrinigens, Clostridium tetani, Listeria monocytogenes, Nocardia) and Gram-negative (Bordetella spp., Brucella, Bartonella, Haemophilus spp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis, Shigella, Yersinia pestis, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis), micoplasmas, Chlamydia, rickets and protozoa at animals, as well as against the Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Aeromonas salmonicida, Aeromonas liquefaciens, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Yersinia ruckeri) that may produce different diseases on the fish. It acts by the blockage of proteic synthesis in the bacterial cell.More info

Oxytetracycline FP 90% – powder is recommended for the treatment of the disorders produced by oxitetraciclin sensitive germs on swine, colts, calves, lambs, kids, rabbits, dogs, poultry and fish.
Swine: the treatment of the secondary infections associated with the swine enzootic pneumonia, bacterial entherites, artritis and rubella.
Colts, lambs, kids: treatment of bacterial entherites, respiratory infections, omphalites, artritis.
Calves: treatment of the secondary infections associated with the virotic pneumonia, bacterial entherites, artritis, dyphteria of calves, omphalites.
Rabbits: treatment of bacterial entherites.
Dogs: fighting against the secondary infections associated to hepatitis.
Poultry: the treatment of avian cholera, avian tifose, infectious rheum, infectious sinusitis, infectious sinovite, un-specific diarrhea, mycoplasmose, staphylococcic artrite, pseudo-tuberculosis, coliform septicemy and for the treatment of secondary infections associated to the infectious bronchitis, chronic respiratory diseases, infectious laryngo-tracheitis, avian variola.
Fish: treatment of eritrodermatita, infections of the swimming bladder at the carp and anthrax at the trout.
Swine: 15-35 g Oxytetracycline FP 90%/ 100 l water (10-30 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/kg g.c.), or 150 – 650 g powder for one fodder tone (10 – 30 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/ kg g.c.), once a day, for 5 consecutive days.
Calves, lambs, kids, colts: 1 – 1,5 g Oxytetracycline FP 90% / 50 kg g.c. ( 20 – 30 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/ kg g. c.). It is daily administered in the fodder or in the drinking water, for 5 consecutive days.
Dogs, rabbits: 0.55 g Oxytetracycline FP 90% / 10 kg g.c. (50 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/ kg g.c.), divided in 2 doses, for 5 consecutive days.
The medicamentous solution must be administered immediately after the preparation.
Poultry: 1535 g Oxytetracycline FP 90% / 100 l water (10 – 30 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/kg g.c.), or 150 – 650 g powder for one fodder tone (20 – 40 mg chlor-hydrate oxytetracycline/ kg g.c.), once a day, for 5 consecutive days.
Fish: 4,5 – 6,5 g Oxytetracycline FP 90% is daily administered for 100 de kg fish. For the adult fish, it is administered in one dose, and for the young, the product is administered on 2 doses. The product may be administered in the food or locally in the basin. For the treatment of young, it is mixed 20 g Oxytetracycline FP 90% well homogenized as paste, with 50 kg granular fodder (pellets). The medicamentous fodder is stored in cold and dark areas for maximum 8 days. The adults and the young may be treated for 4-8 days or until the remission of clinical signs.
If the animals don’t show an improvement of the health state, the veterinary will be consulted, for the re-evaluation of the diagnosis.
It is not administered per bone at the adult bovine and horses. It is not administered 3 days before and after the inoculations with live bacterial vaccins. It must not be administered for the colts of which meat is designed to the human consumption.
Avoid the administration at the animals with gastric ulcer and ulcerous colitis. The administration for the ruminants of the powder of Oxytetracycline FP 90% may produce a change of the gastro-intestinal flora. These phenomena have a transitory and reversible character. During the osteo-genesis process, the tetracycline may determine the coloring to yellow of teeth. It may be used during the pregnancy and lactation period. The concomitant administration with the penicillins and cefalosporines will be avoided. It is not associated with corticosteroids because they mask and disseminate the infection. The tetracycline must not be overdosed due to the intestinal dismicrobism, nephro-toxicity, to the negative effects over the calcifiation.
