Enrofloxacin………………………………..…..… 100 mg
Excipients: N-butyl alcohol, Potassium hydroxide and Water for injectable preparations.
Enrofloxacin is a chemo-therapeutic substance with a wide range and powerful anti-microbial action, even over the germs resistant to antibiotics. It is a fluorite 4-quinolona derived, taking part to the last generation of synthetic quinolones. It has the lowest toxicity of the whole group of quinolones.
The germicide action is issued by the inhibition of the DNA gyrase enzyme, with an important role in the synthesis of nucleic acids, which determines the death of bacterial cell. It operates with bactericide on the Gram-positive and Gram-negative germs, micro-plasmas and Chlamydia.More info

If the animals don’t show an improvement of the health state, the veterinary will be consulted, for the re-evaluation of the diagnosis.
It is not administered for the canine young up to 12 months old and for the dogs with epilepsy antecedents. It is not administered in case of hyper-sensitivity to the active substance or to any of the Excipients. It is not administered for the horses. Except for the potential articular disorders at the level of growing cartilages for the immature animals, the contrary reactions are quite rare. The transitory edemas may occur at the inoculation place. It cannot be used for the dogs during the pregnancy or lactation period.
The administration of antacids prohibits the absorption of enrofloxacin.
It has a contrary action to chloramphenicol, macrolide antibiotics, tetracycline and un-steroid anti-inflammatory substances.
Due to the low toxicity of enrofloxacin, the overdosing danger is minimum. Although, there may occur sometimes anorexia and belches symptoms. It does not exist a specific antidote for the overdosing treatment. The treatment is symptomatic. It is not recommended the concomitant administration of fluoroquinolones with nitrofurantoin. The fluoroquinolones increase the neurotoxic effects of cyclosporine. Don’t administer in one single point, bigger quantities than 5 ml on the bovine, 2,5 ml on the swine and 5 ml on the pigs.
