Swine (young porcine, pigs, small pigs, boars).More info
It is used for the active immunization of swine (young porcine, pigs, small pigs, boars) for the prevention of mortalities, the clinical signs and/ or the lesions specific to pseudo-rabies and to decrease the excretion of the virus of Aujeszky disease at swine, and for the passive immunization of the progenies of inoculated pigs for the decrease of mortality, clinical signs and excretion of the swine herpes virus type 1.
The vaccine is administered intramuscular, in a dose of 1 ml, in the neck area, behind the ear, independently of the category of swine, preventive or if necessary, in the units where positive serologic reactions, with or without a clinical expression of diseases are registered.
In the exploitations where the positive serologic reactions, without a clinical expression of disease are registered, the inoculation will be made as follows: womb 2 times a year, and the young at the age of 55 and 75 days.
In the exploitations where the positive serologic reactions, with a disease clinical expression are registered, the inoculation in the carpet is made, except for the new born pigs up to the age of 3 days. The rappel is made after 21 days.
The maintenance inoculations are made at every 6 months.
The inoculation with Auvac will not be made for the animals: with infectious-contagious, parasitic diseases or with nutritional and metabolic deficiencies; the pigs/ small pigs that have over 100 days pregnancy; the new born pigs smaller than 3 days. The animals will not be inoculated after transport, batching and transfer, too. Occasionally, at maximum 10% of the animals, at the inoculation place, an edema may occur (with diameter below 5 cm), which is remitted within 3-4 days, and at certain animals, a low transitory fever may be registered (the temperature increase by 1 – 1,5°C), for 1 – 2 days. If you notice serious reactions or other effects that are not mentioned in this prospect, please inform the veterinary. The swine bear ten vaccine doses without the occurrence of local or general reactions. The vaccine may be administered during the pregnancy period at the age of 75 and 95 days of pregnancy, but it is not administered at the pigs/ small pigs that are more than 100 days the pregnancy age.
The Auvac vaccine is not administered simultaneously with other medicinal products. The progenies resulted from the inoculated pigs must ingest a sufficient quantity of colostrum and milk. It is recommended the inoculation of the clinically healthy animals. The young swine/ pregnant pigs/ small pigs/ reproduction boars with infectious-contagious, parasitic diseases or with nutritional and metabolic deficiencies will register an inappropriate immunologic answer.
The phials with vaccine will be removed from the storage space (2-8°C) and brought to the temperature of 18 – 22°C for reconstitution/ suspension and homogenization. For the insurance of homogenization of the suspension, the phials with vaccine will be agitated before inoculation and during the inoculation. The phials with vaccine are used within maximum 2 hours from the opening. This product contains aluminum hydroxide. The accidental inoculation with this product of the operating staff needs a specialty medical examination.
